Where is a place you have never been that you would like to see?

  1. Who do you identify with in this account?  Why?

  1. What do you think Jesus saw in people that fueled his desire to reach out to them and bring them into relationship with him?

  1. Read Ephesians 4:30-32.  How does our unwillingness to forgive others grieve God?

  1. Read Luke 23:36-43.  What does it mean to have a healthy fear of God?

  1. What do you think Jesus saw in the thief who realized he was getting what he deserved and asked him to not forget about him?

  1. What is one thing that stands out to you about Jesus during this study?

Prayer Time:

What are some specific ways we can be praying for each other?  Take a few minutes to share your prayer requests with each other.

As we spend some time in prayer, let’s also ask God to remind us how much he loves us and what Jesus has done for us.  Let’s also pray for the courage to forgive others like Jesus does.

Notes for your prayer time:

There is nothing wrong with praying for each other’s requests and you can continue to do so.  It is easy however to pray for all kinds of things that aren’t related to applying God’s truth to our lives.

My desire is to make sure we have some of our prayers focused around the life-change God desires to take place in each of us.  Scott Nieveen

Thanks for the role you play in providing a place for people to experience community while pursuing God!
