Small Group Questions - Weekend of June 7

Group Opener:

School is now out! As a kid, how did you celebrate the end of a school year? How do you like to celebrate things now?

Group Questions:

  1. What ideas, images, or information from this series, God Wins, have impacted you?

  1. We have covered many different topics that deal with the end times: Islamic terrorism, Israel’s role, the antichrist, the rapture, and the second coming of Christ. What are the major biblical truths from this series?

  1. Read 2 Peter 3:14-18, hopefully a familiar passage for this series. What three things are we supposed to do as we wait for His return? What does this mean on a practical level?

  1. Read 2 Thessalonians 1:11-12. What is Paul’s prayer for the Thessalonians? What does it mean to live “worthy of his call”? What is the result of our living that way?

  1. In the same passage, what does it mean to live “worthy of his call”? What is the result of our living that way?

  1. Read Revelation 22:7, 12, and 20. What phrase does Jesus keep repeating? As you begin your time in prayer together, celebrate the fact that Jesus will come soon, and pray with John, “Come, Lord Jesus!”

Prayer Time:

What are some specific ways we can be praying for each other?  Take a few minutes to share your prayer requests with each other.

As we spend some time in prayer, let’s also ask God to help us understand what it means to completely trust him and put our hope in his truths.

Notes for your prayer time:

There is nothing wrong with praying for each other’s requests and you can continue to do so.  It is easy however to pray for all kinds of things that aren’t related to applying God’s truth to our lives.

My desire is to make sure we have some of our prayers focused around the life-change God desires to take place in each of us.  Scott Nieveen

Thanks for the role you play in providing a place for people to experience community while pursuing God!
