Small Group Questions - Weekend of April 26

Group Opener:

Describe a time when someone came alongside of you in a really powerful way.

Group Questions:

  1. Talk of the end times is abundant these days. What do you hear people (colleagues, friends, news shows, blog, etc.) saying about the antichrist?

  1. What is it about the antichrist that causes us to fear?

  1. Read Psalm 93. What does this psalm teach us about God?

  1. Read Daniel 4:34-35. What is the context of this proclamation? (What just happened to Nebuchadnezzar?)

  1. How does the truth of Psalm 93 and Daniel 4:34-35 impact the way we live (when we go through hard times, when we’re afraid, etc.)?

  1. As we learn truth about God and come to “know” (experience) Him more deeply, we respond in worship. As you pray together, respond to this truth: God reigns!

Prayer Time:

What are some specific ways we can be praying for each other?  Take a few minutes to share your prayer requests with each other.

As we spend some time in prayer, let’s also ask God to help us understand what it means to completely trust him and put our hope in his truths.

Notes for your prayer time:

There is nothing wrong with praying for each other’s requests and you can continue to do so.  It is easy however to pray for all kinds of things that aren’t related to applying God’s truth to our lives.

My desire is to make sure we have some of our prayers focused around the life-change God desires to take place in each of us.  Scott Nieveen

Thanks for the role you play in providing a place for people to experience community while pursuing God!
