Group Opener: 

 

If you could be in any movie, which one would it be? Why? Would you play any specific role?

 

Group Questions:

 

  1. Our new series at church is on Faith & Doubt.  We all struggle with doubts from time to time.  What causes you to have doubts?

 

  1. As we face struggles in our life is can cause us to doubt but we can also learn many things.  What are a couple of things you have learned through difficult situations you have faced in life?

 

  1. What first draw you to God and lead you to having faith in God?

 

  1. Have someone read Romans 15:13.  What roles can hope play in the life of a Christ follower?

 

  1. One of the phrases in this verse is “as you trust” which implies action.  How can you daily put your trust in God?

 

  1. Read James 4:8.  How can we personally drawn near to God? 

 

  1. What have you experienced as you have drawn near to him?

 

 

Prayer Time:

 

What are some specific ways we can be praying for each other?  Take a few minutes to share your prayer requests with each other.

 

As we spend some time in prayer, let’s also ask God to help draw close to him and support each other as we face the hard times of life.

 

Notes for your prayer time:

 

There is nothing wrong with praying for each other’s requests and you can continue to do so.  It is easy however to pray for all kinds of things that aren’t related to applying God’s truth to our lives.
