Serving is one of the most important values we hold as a church. Fully devoted Christ-followers are not consumers: they are actively engaged in serving God and others by the wise use of their spiritual gifts. Mark 10:45 says, "For even the Son of Man (Jesus) did not come to be served, but to serve."

Servant volunteers are the very lifeblood of WCC's ministry. Our staff's main role is to build up, lead and shepherd teams of volunteers to do the vast work which God has put before us. And by tapping into the various gifts and abilities of our team members, our effectiveness in ministry is multiplied a hundredfold.

The truth is, we were all created to serve. It is how we best model how Christ loves us. Faith is stretched and grows when we excercise our gifts. It is basic to God's plan for our lives. Consider learning more about how God wired you to serve by attending our class, "Discovering My Design." Or jump right in and get involved. You could be starting the adventure you were born to live!
