| The
Bible |
|
| We
believe the Holy Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, were
written by men divinely inspired by God through the Holy Spirit,
without error, to be the final authority in faith and life. (Isaiah
40:8; II Peter 1:21; II Timothy 3:16-17). |
| The
Godhead |
|
| We
believe that God is eternally existent, co-equal in three
persons, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:28;
Matthew 28:18; Luke 3:22; John 1:1). |
| Jesus
Christ |
|
| We
believe in Jesus Christ, the only begotten son of God, in
His virgin birth and sinless life; that He is true God and
true man; that He died as a redeeming substitute for our
sins, was buried and bodily resurrected, and ascended to
the right hand of the Father; and, in His personal return
in power and glory. (Isaiah 7:14, 53:5; Matthew 1:23;
John 1:14; Acts 2:29-36; Galatians 3:13; Hebrews 4:15; Philippians
2:6-11; I Thessalonians 4:16; I Timothy 2:5). |
| The
Holy Spirit |
|
| We
believe in the Holy Spirit as the third person
of the Trinity, whose present ministry is convicting
us of our sins; and, who indwells the Christian;
comforting, teaching and empowering the Christian
to lead a godly life. (Ezekiel 36:27; Matthew
3:11, John 14: 16-17, 16:8; Acts 1:8). |
| Man |
|
| We
believe that man was created in the image of
God to be in fellowship with God and to reconcile
the earth to God. We believe man was tempted
by Satan, fell under the influence of sin, became
disobedient to God by choice and was helpless
to restore himself, thus forsaking his divine
mission in life. Man is the object of God's love
in Jesus Christ, who came so that man could resume
his original divine mission in life. (Genesis
1:26-28; John 3:15-17; Romans 3:23, 5:12-21;
I Corinthians 3:5-10, 16:8; Acts 1:8). |
| Salvation |
|
| We
believe that salvation is only by grace, not
by works, and is received by faith in the shed
blood of Jesus Christ, thereby permitting us
to be reconciled to God. (Ephesians 2:8-9;
John 3:16; Romans 10:9-10, 13). |
| Resurrection |
|
| We
believe in the resurrection of the dead; the
believer to life everlasting in Heaven and the
unrepentant to the resurrection of judgment
of everlasting punishment in Hell. (Matthew
6:20-21; Revelation 20:11-15, 21:8). |
| Satan |
|
| We
believe that Satan rebelled against God; became
the author of sin; is at war with God for control
of the earth; is the enemy of God and man and
that he and his followers shall be eternally
punished in the Lake of Fire. (Job 1:6; Matthew
4:1-11; Luke 22:31; Ephesians 6:11-12; Revelation
20:10). |

All
Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what
is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives.
—2
Timothy 3 :16
God saved you by his special favor when you believed. And you can't take credit
for this; it is a gift from God.
Salvation
is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of
us can boast about it —Ephesians
2: 8 & 9
For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son,
so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal
life.
—John
3:16 |
